About Nancy RothAfter a remarkable career in both the public and private sectors, Nancy Roth began Utopia Management Services in 2003 as an independent consultant. In public service, she was a warranted Contracting Officer with the federal government. She has also served as Director of Contracts for small, medium, and large information technology and professional service companies with contract revenues from $12M to $350M annually. As a civil service employee, Nancy Roth worked for the Executive Office of the President, the Defense Departments of the Army and the Navy, the Office of Personnel Management, and the General Services Administration. In private industry, Nancy Roth was employed at James Martin Government Consulting (a $20M subsidiary of the professional services company “Headstrong”), a $350M business unit of DynCorp (since acquired by Computer Sciences Corp), and MATCOM (a $60M information technology services company purchased by SI International.) Since becoming an independent consultant, Nancy Roth has assisted companies of all sizes – from one-person start-up companies to Fortune 500 companies. Throughout her career, her focus has been on the information technology and professional services industries. Nancy Roth has experience reviewing contracts from - or negotiating contracts with - a majority of Washington Technology’s top 50 Federal Government Contractors. Education and CertificationNancy Roth attended George Mason University and majored in finance. She received her Bachelor’s of Science in Business Administration in 1987 and her Master’s in Business Administration in 1993. In 2009, she earned the title of “Certified Federal Contracts Manager” (CFCM) from the Contract Management Association (NCMA). She has also completed the University of Virginia, Graduate level certification in the “Procurement and Contracts Management” curriculum in 2011.
